NEED TO GET AWAY FROM DISTRACTIONS?
NEED A PRODUCTIVE PLACE TO FOCUS?
NEED TO MAKE PROGRESS ON THAT PROJECT?
GET A DESK.  GET IT DONE.

Park Slope Desk is a work space.  We're an oasis of calm to escape from the stir-craziness, isolation, and distractions of working at home or cafes.  A place to reclaim the ability to focus and get things done.

Co-working, study hall, private library.  Use us like a gym.  You pop in there for your intense body workout.  You pop in here intent on getting your work...out.

Having a refuge to focus for a few hours makes all the difference.  We provide you a "clear space" to concentrate on the thing at hand.

Being in the company of other people serious about getting things done helps keep you motivated.

For working, writing, studying, creative thinking, etc.  We've got a desk for you.

Why get a desk here?  Reasons other places don't work:

Coffee shops

Crowded.  Hard to find a peaceful spot.  Uncomfortable chairs.  Distracting chatter.  Intrusive music.  Movement all around.  Good for socializing, not for getting things done.

Home

Isolation.  Lack of a "clear space".  Personal clutter.  Stir-craziness.  Distractions and temptations.  TV.  Fridge.  Dirty dishes.  Good for living, not for getting things done.

Library

Table sharing - lack of solo desks.  No phone calls or meetings.  Noisy when school lets out.  Inconvenient hours.  Oh look, they have magazines and DVDs!  Good for browsing, not for getting things done.
